Palais des Congrès de Lomé

Mabetex Group is proud to announce the successful completion of the comprehensive renovation and rehabilitation of the Palais des Congrès of Lomé, a historic and iconic venue located in the heart of Togo’s capital.​

Originally inaugurated in 1981, the Palais des Congrès has long served as a central hub for political, cultural, and social events in Togo. The recent renovation project, initiated in July 2024, encompassed a complete overhaul of the facility to meet modern standards and requirements.​

The scope of the project included extensive work on both the exterior and interior of the building. Key areas of focus were the façade renovation, interior finishing, and the installation of advanced HVAC systems. Additionally, the project addressed critical infrastructure elements such as electrical systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The renovation also encompassed the landscaping of external areas, ensuring the venue’s surroundings complement its renewed stature.​

Mabetex Group is particularly proud that the revitalized Palais des Congrès was chosen to host the “Conférence Publique d’Hommages aux Grandes Figures de l’Indépendance” on 26 April 2025, celebrating the heroes of Togo’s independence in a dignified and modernized setting.​

With a total surface area of approximately 16,000 square meters, the Palais des Congrès is now fully equipped to host international conferences, governmental meetings, cultural performances, and exhibitions, reaffirming its role as a central hub for diplomacy, business, and the arts in the West African region.​
